Presurgical Tour

Children’s encourages families to visit the hospital for a pre-surgical tour so children can familiarize themselves with the process. Tours take place every Sunday at 2 pm in the main hospital Atrium. The tour takes approximately 1 1⁄2 hours. No registration is necessary.

Children’s also offers an online pre-surgical tour in language that is easy for kids to understand.

If your child is having cardiac surgery or is scheduled for surgery at the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Montgomery County, you may schedule an individual pre-surgical tour by calling 202-476-3812.
